Paul Barber receives diversity award
April 17, 2015 -- Southeast Asia specialist Paul Barber, Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, is one of two recipients of the 2014-2015 UCLA Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Award. For the past 10 years, he has engaged under-represented minority students in marine biology research in Bali.

New documentary on polygamy in Bali

September 29, 2014 — "Bitter Honey," a new documentary by UCLA anthropologist and filmmaker Robert Lemelson, tracks the physical, psychological and emotional toll of polygamy on Balinese women and families. Lemelson spent seven years winning the trust of three families for the film.
